SALEM, Ore. (AP) -- A Salem high school coach who was arrested in connection with a drunken driving hit-and-run crash that injured two people has continued for two months in his coaching role.

The incident still is under investigation, the Salem Statesman Journal reports.

He has not been arraigned, and no court date has been set. North Salem High School boys basketball coach Willie Freeman was arrested on Nov. 4, when police responded to a two-vehicle freeway crash.

They found Freeman in a vehicle matching the description of the one that fled the scene 12 miles south of the crash. He was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, felony hit and run and other charges. The school district says it is waiting a legal decision before taking action.
